B&Q Witney regularly hold Community Days when colleagues from the Witney store provide the resources to help charities and other local good causes with an activity. This year they have provided substantial improvements to the front gardens of Station Lane Almshouses which are adjacent to St Mary’s Church in Witney. These six properties are owned by Witney Town Charity and provide accommodation for elderly ladies and are one of three blocks in the town.

Samantha Kempster one of the leaders of the B&Q team says ‘Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for allowing us to help you with the garden renovations at the Witney Almshouses. It was so lovely to meet some of the residents and listen to their personal stories. The hospitality from the residents really blew us  away.’

Ashley Farmer Chair of Trustee adds ‘We are delighted to have the support of colleagues at B&Q to really smarten up the front gardens of our almshouses and doing this in such a way that our residents will be able to maintain the gardens with little effort.’
